Join us for a Q&A session about goats through one of our tours.
We provide helpful knowledge to get you started on your goat journey.
During the tour we will cover:
how we keep our goats healthy, types of feed and minerals,
how to check for anemia,
hoof care,
basic medicine practices, and deworming.
In learning about goat husbandry, we will teach in the tour:
proper fencing, predator control, barn set up, general supplies, and shelter needs.
Our team is made up of experienced farmers with a passion for raising goats. We are dedicated to providing our customers with the best possible service and support. Our team is here to help guide you in raising goats if you have questions.
Price is:$60 for 90 minutes of education and petting goats.
In person, on farm, Rain or Shine tours. Must be scheduled in advance, select days of the week (we can flex just let me know in an email before paying full deposit if you need different hours or days).
We offer 90 minutes of packed knowledge to help you get started on your goat raising! (limit to parties of 8 including children).
So bring your boots, your questions, and your enthusiasm if you'd like to come see our farm and how to help you get started on goats. There may or may not be an option to purchase goats (kids) at the time of the tour depending on what is available. No purchases necessary to book for tour, no purchases guaranteed either!
Caution, this is a barn environment where dust, hay and allergens and other farm debris exists. We also have dogs, cats, cattle, chickens in the area. Please be advised of this is a barn atmosphere and if you have any special needs or requests, we will try to accommodate you. We currently do not have a public bathroom facilities so please use the gas station off of FM 359 before your tour. You are welcome to bring snacks or drinks. Please bring whatever questions you have no matter if you feel they are "dumb", we are here to help and answer them all!
We will have goats to see and pet if you'd like.
We will also send home participants with scent free, natural goat milk soap samples for you to enjoy!
Please no pets or ESAs please as we have dogs and farm animals!

Where is the tour taking place?
- Primarily in our main, covered barn.
Can I bring pets to the tour?
-Please respect our farm and do not bring your pets as we have dogs and many other animals that are not used to your pets.
What is the address?
-In your booking you should receive the address for Hempstead, TX location.
Where do I park?
-Parking in front of the main barn/cover is totally fine.
What if the weather is bad when I schedule?
-We can hold events in the rain however we can reschedule- just let us know in advance ASAP.
How long is the tour?
-1.5 hours to talk about goats and answer all of your goat related questions.
What do I wear?
-Comfortable shoes that can be worn in a barn. If raining or wet, may need boots. Maybe bring a change of shoes for the car!
How many people can I bring?
-Tours are designated up to 8 people including children
Do you have bathrooms?
-Currently none at the moment, please use the facilities at the nearby gas station before your appointment.
Can I bring snacks and drinks?
-Of course!
What do I need to bring?
-Your enthusiasm and all the questions you have about goats!
Will you have baby goats to pet and cuddle with??
-Depends on the season/availability, please ask before you commit to a tour if you must see baby goats. They are not available all year.
Will you show us how to milk?
-This is seasonal as well. We may have some goats in milk to show you how to milk them properly. Please ask before you book your appointment.
